If CCSU can pull the upset Saturday (and it will be much harder), then you can legitimately start talking playoffs.
My question to you guys: where do you rank this win in program history?
CCSU won with some big mistakes. That is certainly good for Central, but it also shows how far the PL has fallen. Lehigh was no better than Del State. They will be lucky to win 6 games this year.
ReplyDeleteThis was still a great win, but not as big as Colgate or Georgia Southern. If the NEC was an AQ conference, this woulnd't even be an upset.
I don't like our odds vs. W&M. The Tribe just beat I-A Virginia. This team will be much closer to NDSU or Western Mich.

Technically, it was an upset. CCSU was 12.5 point 'dogs.
ReplyDeleteBut looking at all the scores from around the NEC, the conference is THE SAME as the PL now.
CCSU and LU were both preseason #3 in their respective conference and we dominated most of the game.
Duquense was picked 6th in the NEC and knocked off Bucknell. Monmouth breaking in a new QB nearly beat 'Gate. Albany almost pulled off a bigger upste than us this week at GSU. Even SFPA kept it respectable with FCS-powerhouse New Hampshire.
